KASOCT - King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center

Training Information

KASOTC is the world's first and largest special forces counterterrorism training facility of its kind.

Ideal for a variety of counterterrorism and internal security mission training scenarios, KASOTC has over 350 recordable video cameras (IR-Thermal), a fiber-optic network, multi-purpose ranges, an Airbus 300, and over 50 live-fire and simulated-fire training structures.

The site enables multilateral partnerships leveraging participating nations’ experience, expertise, and resources.

Users of KASOTC have access to the world's finest special forces instructors, programs of instruction, facilities, and technology.

Current training courses at KASOTC include:

Counter-Terrorism Operations, Advance Urban Combat, linear Assault, Maritime Counter-Terrorism, Anti-Piracy, Advanced Combat Marksmanship, Sniper Operations, Combat Life Saver, VIP Protection, High-Desert Mountain Operations, Tactical Breaching and Peacekeeping Operations.

KASOTC has been designed to provide world-class training facilities and instruction to US Armed Forces, Jordanian Armed Forces and other authorized regional allies. In addition, all this is accomplished in a scalable manner that meets the unique requirements of the highly skilled units authorized to train at KASOTC. This model affords units the flexibility to perform training using their own autonomous instructors or to apply for instruction from KASOTC instructors. In all cases, the provision of training and the facility itself is strictly regulated by US International Traffic in Arms Regulations without exception. All requests for KASOTC instructors to provide training are submitted to the US Department of State, Bureau of Political Military Affairs, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and receive DDTC ITAR approval prior to the delivery, transfer or export of any training or defense services requested therein.
